Academic information
The CEFR is the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, published by the Council of Europe. It describes what a language user can do at A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2.
ROVENTAQ uses those names as an external reference. A0 and A1+ are ROVENTAQ stages. A0 is before A1. A1+ sits between A1 and A2. They are not official CEFR levels. ROVENTAQ is not certified or accredited by the Council of Europe.
A ROVENTAQ completion certificate means the school's database recorded that the student met ROVENTAQ's own requirements for that level. For A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2 the title says CEFR-referenced. That is not an official CEFR certificate.
Finishing a lesson does not issue a certificate. A placement result is a recommended starting level, not a certified proficiency result. ROVENTAQ does not claim equivalence to IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge English, PTE, or the Duolingo English Test.
A final examination is recorded by an authorized person after the examination is given. There is no published exam paper in the application yet. From C1, the standard asks for a second examiner before a certificate can be issued.
The American English Experience describes the kind of U.S. communication practiced at a level. It is not a U.S. government proficiency scale and it is not a separate scored certificate.
ROVENTAQ English Proficiency Standard v1.0 is the school's internal standard. Its validation roadmap has eight stages. Version 1.0 records every stage as not started. No external review, partnership, or accreditation is claimed.
A person who receives a certificate can confirm it on the verification page with the verification code. The page shows the certificate status and the public result. It does not show a password, an email address, or payment information.
